Mood/Style:
Any of Europe’s high society beauties searching for a dress to wear to one of the two royal weddings this summer will have to look no further than Valentino. Where the designers Pier Paolo Piccoli and Maria Grazia Chiuri sent out a romantic and youthful collection filled with willowy long gowns and shorter flirty dress in nude and pastel colors. The subtle mixing of opaque and sheer fabrics with strategically placed lace and cloud puffs of organza at the sleeves or collars made the expertly crafted clothing feel so feather light that they could flutter away on butterfly wings

Lengths:
slightly over the knee or long full skirts. No pants

Colours:

ivory, Valentino red, crème, pink floral prints, blush and nude

Fabrics:

lace, crepe, mousseline, organza, tulle, gazar

Shapes:
fluid silhouettes cut both with down to the
ground skirt in tiers of lace or rich opaque fabrics. Short skirt options had full pleats cut above the knee. Tops were created with spaghetti straps or with full sheer organza sleeves

Accessories:

gold metal box clutches, Perspex butterfly shaped choker necklaces covered in lace, milkmaid braids in the hair, metallic strappy high heel sandals
