Over the past 15 years that I have been covering the fashion shows one of my favorite treats is to see Bill Cunningham at work. Perched on a step between the front row seat of as fashion show snapping away on his camera or capturing the fashion victims and style mavericks as they make a dash to their cars after taking in the latest collection. And every time he calls me “child” well…..it makes me smile from ear to ear.
Now a new documentary called ‘Bill Cunningham New York’ has just made its debut in the big apple, right before New York Fashion week, and all I can say is that I can’t wait for it to premiere in Paris. But until then I will just have to live with the trailer.
